Hi, we are Gamecan. Collectively we are an independent game development company based in Estonia, but working from various locations around the world. Since January 2015, we have been working on our first game - Overstep. Feel free to read about our team members below - as the site is still under development we will be adding our team members bios one by one.
Chief Executive Officer
Marten is a young passionate enterpreneur who started his first company at a very young age. He runs a hip-hop culture dance studio Black and Brownie and now Gamecan – our independent game development company. He is self-educated and enjoys new challenges, always with a positive mindset. Marten literally loves video games and creating one is a dream of his life.
Chief Marketing Officer
Batuhan studied Masters of Business Administration, Computer Science and worked in the biggest game publisher in Turkey. He has experience as an enterpreneur and being a visionist with well trained teamwork skills. Batuhan worked in Netmarble Turkey, on their most successful product Wolfteam, with an average of 75K CCU (concurrent users) and 22M total users; and with the Turkish second most successful FPS S2, with an 8k CCU.
Chief Executive Producer
Aidan graduated with Honors Degree in Interactive Design for Games, and has been developing software for over ten years. We believe he also thinks in several programming languages. He is in charge of project and team management.
All around good guy - Tim Kaney only recently became Art Director for Overstep. Prior, his experiences led him through many years of corporate graphic arts, visual branding, and other creative endeavors, of which, he coordinated and executed. Having hefted a pencil since childhood, and having gaming in his DNA, Tim Kaney strives to be a passionate binding agent between the creative, practical, and technical assets of Overstep. While he gains even more experience in this new position, he is helping younger artists be the best they can be.
Lead Game Designer
Grant is a 35 year old game and level designer who has been making levels for nearly 20 years. He is experienced both in AAA and mobile game development. He has worked on projects like Littlebigplanet 3, Guardians of Ancora, Gomad Kids: Turmali, Kart Kingdom and more.
